Normal, The "T.V.O.D." / "Warm Leatherette" 7"

$12.00

Mute Records (MUTE 001)

Originally released in 1978, this was the debut record from Daniel Miller’s The Normal as well as the inaugural release on Mute Records. One of the earliest DIY releases, the sound was a minimal exhibition of electronic music, propelled by Daniel Miller playing on a synth played over a drum machine. The result was infectious, catchy, and mesmerizing. While the Normal only lasted a short time, Mute Records would go on to be one of the largest and most successful independent labels of all time, releasing records from Depeche Mode, Nick Cave, Wire, New Order and many, many more.

This version is a modern repress that maintains the integrity of the original release. It features the same cover artwork, label art, and songs as the original. We highly recommend this release for anyone into the early independent music, ‘77 post punk, or early Rough Trade era sound.

This release is a U.K. import.
